Sharpening

Assess and repair

Each knife is checked over, and any chips, broken tips, or damage are fixed.

Match the angle

The setup matches the edge angle the knife or tool was made with.

Sharpen

Sharpened by hand on an industrial Swedish Tormek T8. This top-end machine uses a slow, water-cooled wheel that gradually takes the edge from 220 to 1000 grit. It's akin to the hand-drawn whetstone process, but with tooled precision and repeatability. This technique ensures the knife's steel never overheats, and so keeps its strength (and new edge) longer.

Hone

The edge is honed on leather to a mirror finish.

Test

Every edge is tested, then wrapped for the trip home.

Guarantee

If the edge isn't right, bring it back for a free redo.
